The IMF forecast weak growth in Ukraine's economy

The IMF forecasts the growth of Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 at 3.5%.

Ukraine's economy will not recover after a fall in 2020 by 4.0%, according to the IMF World Economic Outlook for October 2021.

Ukraine's GDP will grow more slowly than in the world as a whole (IMF forecast for 2021 - 5.9%).

The IMF also expects Ukraine's economy to grow by 3.6% in 2022. The forecast has improved compared to April (3.4%).

In addition, in 2020, Ukraine's GDP decline was deeper than the contraction of the world economy (according to the IMF - by 3.3%).

Earlier it was reported that negotiations with the IMF mission on the first review of the stand-by program, which are taking place online, are expected to be completed in the coming days. A "productive dialogue" continues on the tranche.
